Library & Makerspace

School libraries are no longer the only source of information, but have become for our learners, another learning space in which they can connect, interact, network, research, present, and access information.

The St Clare's Primary School Library is a contemporary learning hub where students develop 21st-century skills including collaboration, creativity, and problem solving. The flexible, adaptive and intentional design allows for learning spaces where innovation and inquiry can flourish whilst promoting a sense of belonging and purpose that strengthens the learning culture.

Our library also has a Makerspace. The Makerspace is a space where students come together to learn, design and create. Our Makerspace is helping to prepare those students who need the critical 21st century skills in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts, and Maths (STEAM).

The Makerspace provides hands on learning, helps with critical thinking skills and evens boost self-confidence. Some of the skills that are learned in a makerspace pertain to visual arts, electronics, printing, modeling, coding and robotics.
