The St Clare’s Primary School campus is located on four hectares of land on the corner of Yarrabilba Drive and Combs Street. Ultimately, it is expected that the school will cater for around 700 students from Prep to Year 6, though numbers will build up gradually.
A master plan has been developed for the St Clare’s Primary School campus, which will be constructed in several stages in line with increasing enrolment numbers. The first stage, planned to open in 2017, includes classrooms, a resource centre, administration building, toilets, covered open area, oval and carpark.
The educational facilities will be broadly clustered into three groups, for students in Prep – Year 2, Years 3 – 4, and Years 5 – 6, to reflect the stages of learning. The school will maximise general outdoor recreation space, to celebrate the wonderful natural environment of Yarrabilba.
The movement of students to and from vehicles in parking areas will ensure safety and efficiency, so that students do not cross roadways for pedestrian travel. A special drop-off and pick-up area will ensure safety for both students and parents.
